What an exciting vacation in Lakewood, New York! You and your family can venture out and stay for 4 or up to 7 nights in a two-bedroom, two bath, condo on Chautauqua Lake in Lakewood, NY. Pickle Making Class
Have fun taking a pickle making class with up to 10 people and learn how to make both dill and bread and butter pickles! Enjoy wine and appetizers while trying a 100-year-old recipe. You will use two different canning techniques. This item is time sensitive and must be done in late July/early August due to the availability of fresh cucumbers.
A Fused Glass Experience
This glass experience for four people will be held at the Fuzed Studio in Perrysburg. You will create a fuzed glass project with instruction from Ann Hymel. Ann believes that fuzed glass is the perfect amalgamation of art, science, and technology. You will enjoy wine and a charcuterie board artfully created by the Social Rind Co. Porcelain Day Project with Cocktails and Appetizers at Becky Aubry's Home Studio
Join Toledo artist and TMA Palmer Scholar recipient, Lindsay Scypta, for an evening of clay. Participants will roll out porcelain slabs that will be impressed with pattern and draped over forms to create a set of candy dishes. Work will be fired and glazed for later pick up. A Detroit Limo Tour and Day Trip
A limo day trip for six will be guided by Peter Demczuk. Enjoy a guided tour of the Edsel Ford estate and have a boxed lunch there. Then you will visit the Larry Fisher mansion and points of interest along the way. You will stop at the Fisher Building, and the day will end with a fabulous dinner at the London Chop House, a Detroit tradition. Glass City Center Tour with Susan Reams —
One-of-a-Kind Curated Art Experience
Start your evening with cocktails and amazing hors d’oeuvres that will fuel your desire to experience the full impact of Public Art in a whole new way. This unique experience from 5 – 7 PM at the Glass City Center, formally the Seagate Convention Center, is for 10 to 12 people. After enjoying libations at the new Glass Center, Susan Reams will give a private tour of eight projects that were created for this installation. Susan, a longtime TMA Ambassador, has extensive knowledge of Public Art. The Center is one of 14 large-scale projects in Lucas County. Susan will share how this particular project came about from start to glorious finish. The event will be held between January 10 and June 15, 2023 and will be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date.
A Private Museum Tour
This will be a delightful afternoon of art and conversation at our Toledo Museum of Art. First, take a private art tour, based on your choice of the six 2022 Musings themes. Then, enjoy an espresso and dessert in the Museum Café with your guests (6–8 people). The date will be mutually agreed upon. Expiration date: 12.1.23.
Champagne Brunch and Toledo Museum of Art Tour
Savor a delicious champagne brunch for up to eight guests at the home of Maideh Gore, followed by a visit to the Toledo Museum of Art for a docent-led tour with a theme of your choice. Author/Artist Presentation on a book named For We Are Strangers
Warren and Yolanda Woodberry will discuss their book entitled For We Are Strangers. They will provide two bottles of wine, two signed books, and a copy of the book’s artwork. Also included in the package are episodes of the book’s podcast. The event will take place in your home or place of preference. Expiration date: 6.1.23.
Imagination Station
Located in downtown Toledo, the Imagination Station serves our community by providing science education and fun. Have a great time on a private tour for up to six people. Extraordinary Glass Object
A decorative piece of clear glass with blue and white stripes would be perfect in your home. It is stunning and would enhance any décor. This talented artist is Matthew Paskiet. He opened a shop, Firenation, in 2002, where he has been blowing glass locally in Holland, OH.
A Beautiful Quilt
This quilt will enhance your home. It is a multi-colored quilt and is 56” x 36” in squares assembled by Kathy Holmes and machine quilted by Jan Monnin.
A Glass Object: Fireapple Vessel
Take a look at this Fireapple vessel by Matt Paskiet, which is an original work of art from the Museum Store. It is exquisite. The fireapple represents rebirth, respect, and protection. Paskiet studied glass at “The Boathouse” under the world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly. This piece is a unique treasure.
An Exceptional Painting
A remarkable 12” x 12” oil pastel and mixed media painting by Kay Weprin is entitled Rock and Rolling Stones. Kay, a Toledo Museum of Art Ambassador, is an active artist based in Toledo, with degrees in Fine Arts from the University of Toledo. This painting is a smashing pop of color.
